THE RULES

OVERVIEW
The long and short of it is this: professional fantasy wrestling is like fantasy football, only a lot more fun and a lot more vulgar.  You act as a manager of a stable of wrestlers, issuing challenges, earning points and championship belts and talking shit.  The ultimate goal of the game is up to you - do you play for honor and glory?  Or do you play for revenge?  Only one manager (the one whose stable accumulates the most points) can claim the title of "Manager of the Year"!

YOUR STABLE
Your stable consists of three wrestlers.  On any given week, two of these wrestlers will be involved in active competition while one sits on the bench.  This is determined through challenges.

CHALLENGES
Challenges are issued (by managers only) in the comments section of the weekly results.  As a manager, you are allowed to issue one challenge per week.  This will allow you to plot the course of your wrestlers' futures as well as allowing others the opportunity to challenge members of your stable.

The early bird gets the worm though - if two managers happen to issue challenges to members of your stable before you have a chance to get online, you're screwed that week.  In this event, FUCR kindly suggests that you take it in stride and continue to participate in the war of the words that will undoubtedly ensue.

THE SCHEDULE
Fantasy Unlimited Championship Rasslin features four weekly shows followed by one "Free-For-View event".  Points are accumulated during the weekly shows and the wrestler with the most points at the end of the month will challenge for the World's Championship at the FFV event.

Typically, the other matches on the Free-For-View cards are of a special variety.  Battle royales, tournaments and other such events allow wrestlers to obtain extra points and special honors and distinctions.

After each Free-For-View, a wrestlers' points reset to zero in order to determine the next challenger to the throne.  (we still keep track of your overall points though, in order to determine wrestler/manager of the year)

POINTS
A match won by pinfall or submission is worth 3 points.
A match won by DQ or count-out is worth 2 points.

There are two exceptions to this rule: Championship matches (which we'll get to later) and rematches (which we'll get to right now)

REMATCHES
A new game concept introduced this season is the Rematch Challenge.

Lets say Wrestler A defeats Wrestler B.  If the manager of Wrestler B feels that their steed didn't get a fair shake, he can issue a rematch to Wrestler A for the following week.  But as with any gamble, the stakes are raised.  The rematch is worth one extra point for either wrestler!  So if you win, you win big, but if you lose, you lose big too.  If the manager who issues the challenge wishes to add a stipulation to the rematch (cage match, ladder match, etc) he may do so.  A full list of stipulations and gimmick matches will be given below.

Now, assuming Wrestler B is successful in his rematch, the manager of Wrestler A is then allowed to issue another rematch - this time worth TWO extra points on the line!  Again, you gotta go big or go home in the dangerous world of Fantasy Unlimited Championship Rasslin'.

The Rematch Challenge Clause tops out at best-2-out-of-3.  At that point, the feud is considered over.

STIPULATIONS/GIMMICK MATCHES
Sometimes, when a feud escalates to a fever pitch, a special gimmick or stipulation must be added.  Here are a few...

Cage match - the match is contested within the confines of a 15-foot-tall cage!
First blood match - you gotta make your opponent bleed in order to win
Ladder match - a briefcase (or title belt) is suspended above the ring.  Climbing a ladder and snatching the briefcase wins the match.
Inferno match - the ring is surrounded by flames and the only way to win is to set your opponent on fire!
2-out-of-3-falls - you have to pin your opponent twice in order to win!

LOSS VIA SUBMISSION
If a wrestler loses a match via submission, they are considered "injured" and are placed on the shelf the following week.  An injured wrestler cannot be challenged.

CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES
As of this writing, there is only one championship contested in FUCR - the World's Heavyweight Championship.  A shot at the title will net an extra point for the challenger, should they emerge victorious (a defending champ earns no extra points for a successful defense).  The title does not change hands on a DQ or count-out.

There are several ways to obtain a shot at the richest prize in the sport.

1) Earn it.  The wrestler with the most points at the end of the month (four weeks) will be granted a shot at the Free-For-View event which takes place on the fifth week.

2) The Guaranteed Contract.  Throughout the season, there will be several opportunities to obtain a shot at the belt without being the highest ranked wrestler via some form of gimmick match.  The holder of the Guaranteed Contract is able to cash in their shot at any time - they can issue a public challenge on the message boards or send a private message to the FUCR Board of Directors, letting us know that you intend to surprise everyone by showing up the following week and demanding a shot.  They can even insert themselves into an already booked title shot at a Free-For-View, making it a three-way-dance.

(Note: if you choose to do a "surprise attack", it will be considered an extra match and you will not receive 3 points for victory; only the 1 bonus point for a championship victory)

3)  The Rematch Clause.  A former champion, upon losing their title, has the right claim a rematch at any point during the new champion's title reign, should they so choose.  The same rules apply - a rematch is worth an extra point to either wrestler and a series of rematches can go no further than "best two out of three".

*** As with real professional wrestling, various situations will call for these rules to be stretched, bent, broken and possibly even ignored altogether.  In such events, the FUCR Board of Directors will have final say on the interpretation of the rules ***
