* 2012 YEAR-END AWARDS *

This has been a banner season for professional fantasy wrestling and Fantasy Unlimted Championship Rasslin.  After an absence of over a year, the sport returned with a vengeance to reclaim its position at the top of the heap in online sporting.

While some bemoaned the demise of the tag and secondary championships, all agreed that the "back to basics" approach taken by the FUCR Board of Directors, as well as the introduction of video, revitalized the sport.  Like the phoenix from the flames, the ashes of previous seasons have given way to the glory of new life.

And with that in mind we proudly announce this year's awards.

MANAGER of the YEAR - Opulence Unlimited International

Being a champion doesn't always mean you've got 10 lbs of gold affixed to a leather strap worn around your waist.  Underscoring the importance of FUCR's Big Events, OUI capitalized on their victories in the Hungarian Heritage Grand Prix and the Wheezleton Memoriale to claim victory as Managers of the Year with a grand total of 66 points.

WRESTLER of the YEAR - J.C. Superstar

Guided by The Millionaire, one of our most prolific managers, the stepson of a carpenter proved that thou shalt have no other gods before him as he made a season-long campaign for the World's Championship which culminated in his victory over Sgt. Octopus at Slamarama.

HUNGARIAN HERITAGE GRAND PRIX WINNER - Phantom Dandy

Outlasting twelve other superstars in both tag team combat and an elimination chamber, the Phantom Dandy can hitch his wagon on the proud lineage of the most prestigious championship to ever exist in the world of profesional fantasy wrestling, the Undisputed Hungarian Commonwealth People's Heavyweight Championship of the World.

WHEEZLETON MEMORIALE WINNER - Pierre St. Cloud

The man from Quebec may not have many "W's" in the win/loss column, but he won when it counted.  While he lost the right to challenge for the World's Championship to Sgt. Octopus (who ultimately went on to win the gold), St. Cloud obtained some measure of revenge when he defeated Octopus in a non-title ladder match one week prior to Slamarama.  Were it not for the negligence of his managers, St. Cloud would've entered Slamarama with the title around his waist, adding one more prize to his trophy case.

FAN AWARDS

Every year, we let you, the fans, vote on a few awards.  Here are the results

Champion of the Year - Dr. Matsumoto

Simply put, Matsumoto meant dominance this season.

Always a Bridesmaid... - Danny Divine

He came in 2nd place in both the Hungarian Heritage Grand Prix and the Wheezleton Memoriale.  Able to rack up an impressive number of victories, the Divine One was never able to make it out of the midcard this season.

Feud of the Year - TIE - OUI vs. Cesar Romero & Mickey Rooney vs. Cesar Romero

Cesar Romero earned many fans while he earned enemies both in and out of the ring this season!

Thank you once again for being a part of FUCR and making this such an awesome season! Please take part in the new polls we've put up on the right side of the screen and discuss them in the comments section!

  1. It had it's up, it had it's downs... but anyway you cut it, Dragspeed Racer Roller Coaster is one of the best. This season had all of the makings for one hell of a great roller coaster as well. It was literally all over the place and I for one had one hell of great time.

I enjoyed every aspect of this season except for the moron who hired Bronson Thunderhammer to tally up the points. The only way he could count past 10 is if he grew more hands... HORRIBLE DECISION, FUCR!!

  2. We've learned not to count on Thunderhammer for much of anything.

One of last week's polls asked when the next season should begin. The score was tied with fans requesting a return in either January of 2013 or April, 2013. We're absolutely comfortable with either option and would like to open the table to discussion...
